2010 D3 All-Americans, Players of the Year, Coaches of the Year Announced
The DIII News and Women’s DIII News 2009-10 All-American teams were announced in the April 2010 issues. The Old Dominion Athletic Conference captured both major player honors.
Randolph-Macon senior Molly Ariail is the Women’s DIII News Player of the Year. Ariail (below, right) was the ODAC Player of the Year and averaged 19.4 points and 11.4 rebounds a game. She is joined on the first team by Hope junior Carrie Snikkers, Melissa Beyruti of Kean, Kimberly Blakney of Farmingdale State, and Julia Hirssig of Wisconsin Stout.
For the men, Guilford senior Tyler Sanborn is the DIII News Player of the Year. The ODAC Player of the Year averaged 19.6 points and 14.1 rebounds this season for the Quakers while leading them to the Division III Final Four.  He notched 22 double-doubles and was a first-team Old Dominion Athletic Conference selection, as well as the league’s Most Valuable Player. Sanborn was joined on the DIIIN All-American first team by Washington University’s Sean Wallis, Williams senior Blake Schultz, Ohio Northern senior Kyle Meyer and DeSales’ Darnell Braswell.
Washington’s Nancy Fahey captured her record third Molten/Women’s DIII News Coach of the Year award, while Wisconsin Stevens Point head coach Bob Semling won the 2010 Molten/DIII News Coach of the Year honor.
 
 
 
Division III: Wisconsin Stevens Point Men, Wash. U Women Capture 2010 Titles
The Washington University of St. Louis women’s basketball team, ranked No. 1 in the Women’s DIII News Preseason Top 25, captured the 2010 Division III national championship with a 65-59 win over Hope College. After nine years, nine-straight trips to the NCAA tournament, and two setbacks in the national championship game, the Bears returned to the pinnacle of NCAA Division III women’s basketball, capturing the program’s fifth national championship.
On the men’s side, Wisconsin Stevens Point got by Williams College 78-73 to claim the 2010 national title. A 22-5 run in the second half turned a 1- point UWSP deficit into a seven point lead, 66-59, as the Pointer men’s basketball team held on for the victory over the Ephs of Williams College.
2009-10 D2 All-Americans, Coaches of the Year, Players of the Year Unveiled
The 2009-10 Division II Bulletin and Women’s Division II Bulletin All-American teams were unveiled in the special Postseason Review issues. 
Bentley University senior Jason Westrol been named the 2010 Division II Bulletin Player of the Year. Westrol averaged 21.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 2.3 steals this season and had the highest Falcon scoring average in the past 20 years. He was the Northeast-10 Player of the Year. For the women, Franklin Pierce University senior Johannah Leedham, below, is the Women’s Division II Bulletin Player of the Year. Leedham, the Preseason Player of the Year, led her team to the Elite Eight and was named the Northeast-10 MVP.

The 2010 Molten Coaches of the Year are Cal Poly Pomona’s Greg Kamansky and Emporia State women’s head coach Brandon Schneider.

Division II: Cal Poly Pomona Men, Emporia State Women Win National Championships
Cal Poly Pomona, last year’s national runner-up, defeated Indiana (Pa.) 65-53 in the 2010 Division II men’s title game to claim the program's first-ever national championship.
On the women’s side, Elite Eight Most Outstanding Player Alli Volkens had 16 points, 15 rebounds and five blocks to lead Emporia State to their first ever women's basketball national championship with a 65-53 victory over Ft. Lewis.
